This tribute to my friend, Dennis.

Dennis was born Mary 8, 1953 in Sumter, South Carolina, son of the late George Dalton Shelley and Sara Goff Shelley.

He worked as an inspector with the Campbell Soup Company. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and working in his yard. Dennis was a member of the Son's of the Confederacy Veterans Mechanized Calvary. He also enjoyed studying Genealogy and caring for his K9 friends.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" McLaurin Shelley and step daughter, Katherine Virginia Tatum of the home; his sister, Juanita Avin and husband Wayne of Sumter, SC.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Roger Griggs. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A private interment will be held at a later date.

Personal note:
Dennis Dale Shelley began this website and later ask me to continue as his work, family life and many other duties came first to him. We were both employed at Campbell Soup Company in Maxton, NC where I met him. We shared the interest of genealogy and he and Betty enjoyed the time they had together, he will be missed greatly. He was known as BRITTONS NECK to many. He accepted the Lord as his Savior and that is our comfort. His service was a tribute to him well done.
We keep his families in prayers during the days ahead.
