Dale married Dee when he was 27 years old. Appropriately, they were married on Valentine's Day.

Dee came with a ready-made family of four children. He was always our Dad. He worked so hard to support all of us and he did it with a quiet strength that I greatly admire.

Daddy could build anything. He was a carpenter by trade and a fabulous muscian. He could listen to any record, pick out all the parts, then play each instrument's part. He was in a band with his brother and cousins. The band's name was "Country Plus" because they played country plus everything else.

Daddy was devoted to Mom until the day she died. He cared for her through her illness and was devastated when he lost her. Daddy passed away about 16 months after mom. He passed in February. I think he didn't want to go through another anniversary without her.

I was lucky enough to be able to care for daddy in that last year. Miss you daddy!
