ERVIN, Maxwell E. Beavercreek resident, Maxwell E. Ervin, 27, passed away unexpectedly Apr. 30, 2013. Max was born December 19, 1985 in Kettering, Ohio to Mark and Cay (Boesenberg) Ervin. He graduated from Beavercreek High School in 2004 and continued his education at Sinclair studying psychology and music. Max was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bernard E. and Martha E. (Wellmeier) Ervin, and maternal grandfather Louis A. Boesenberg. He is survived by his maternal grandmother Margaret (Rita) R. (Kinney) Boesenberg, parents Mark and Cay (Boesenberg) Ervin, brother Samuel, devoted soul mate Shayna Rauch and his bestest furry friend, Zappa . Max is also survived by aunts and uncles Jan Ervin, Paul and Jill Ervin, Mark and Lynn (Ervin) Dale, Matt and Terri Ervin, Dan and Becky Boesenberg and Bob and Amy Boesenberg. He is also survived by cousins Noah, Eli, Ben, Emily, Sarah, Katie, Paul, Adam, Justin, Claire and Nikki. As quick with a joke as he was with a compliment, Max's charisma, generosity and sense of humor endeared him to legions of friends. He could make light of any situation but always took the extra effort to make everyone feel special on a personal level. An adventurer to the end, Max visited Japan and Europe, and was intending to add Egypt and Iceland to his conquered lands. He was ever a thrill-seeker. Whether it was skydiving, train- hopping or activities not fit to print, he was always looking to take the next big bite out of life. Max was a talented artist and musician playing drums, guitar and bass in numerous Dayton-based bands since high school. An avid skateboarder, he was a frequent sight at local skate parks and worked tirelessly to make the Beavercreek Skate Park a reality. Max was an awesome son, a selfless brother, a loyal and loving boyfriend, a caring cousin, and a friend to all to the end. Sadly, a voyage cut too short. A private celebration of Max's life will be held at a later date.
