He was born September 11, 1929 in the town of Franzen, the son of the late John and Helen (Woyak) Czerwonka.
On November 5, 1952 Maynard was united in marriage to Shirley Gunderson. She survives.
In addition to his wife,survivors include three sons, Tim (Karen) and Scott, both of Elderon and Steve, Hawthorne, CA;one daughter, Susan (Ron) Balthazar, Eland;seven grandchildren;two brothers William, Two Rivers and Richard, Iola; and two sisters, Pearl (Walter) Fleck, Milwaukee, and Jeannette Wuertz, Chicago, IL.
Maynard was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Leonard and Chester.
Funeral services were held February 3, 1988 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Wittenberg. The Rev. William Spalding officiated. Interment was in Evergreen Rest Cemetery, town of Elderon.
