George Doerfler was the son of Frederick & Kimiganda (Burger) Doerfler. He arrived in Baltimore, Maryland from Bremen, Germany, on the Ship Donau November 10, 1887. He married Mary Krauss February 20, 1895 in Cincinnati, Ohio. They had 4 children, Catherine, Frederick, Ida & Albert. They lived in Dayton, Ohio.
