Francis Van De Loo

Francis G. Van De Loo, 59, of 910 E. Madison Ave., Cleveland, died Tuesday at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital, after being stricken with an apparent heart attack.

He was born Aug. 12, 1923, in the Town of Centerville, a son of Rose Junk Van De Loo of Sheboygan, and the late George Van De Loo. He served with the Navy during World War II.

On Sept. 15, 1945, he was united in marriage with Lorraine Meyer, at St. Wendel, Cleveland, and they resided in the Cleveland area, moving to their present home in 1951.

He worked for Belitz Bros. of Cleveland until 1966, when he became water and sewage treatment operator for the Village of Cleveland. Mr. Van De Loo was also a retired fire chief for the Village. He was a member of St. Wendel Catholic Church and its Ushers Club.

He s survived by his wife; four sons, Gary, Larry and Kevin of Cleveland and Randy of Wisconsin Rapids; four daughters, Mrs. David (Lois) Masarik of Two Rivers, Sharon and Karen of Milwaukee and Denise, a student at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse; his mother, nine grandchildren; one brother, George of Route 2, Sheboygan; two sisters, Mrs. Herbert Kutz of Kiel and Angeline Van De Loo of Sheboygan.

Preceding him in death are his father, two brothers and three sisters.

The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, at St. Wendel Catholic Church, preceded by brief rites at 10 a.m., at the Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel at Cleveland. The Rev. Bernard Geimer will be celebrant of the Mass. Burial will be at St. George Cemetery in Hika.

Friends may call at the Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel Thursday after 4 p.m. A parish prayer service will be Thursday at 8 p.m.
