Two persons were instantly killed and two critically injured at 9:30 last night when a northbound Union Pacific freight train crashed into an automobile at the J street crossing in Colton. Dead are Mrs. Eleanor Gregory, 35, wife of a prominent Colton businessman, who himself was 'critically injured, and a man tentatively identified as Albert R, Goodman, 37, of 603 Fourteenth street, Santa Monica. In addition to Mr. Gregory in the county hospital as the result of injuries. Mr. Gregory is owner of the Gregory Refrigeration Service in Colton and lives on Eighth Street in Colton. The deceased were taken to I. N. Knopsnyder & Son Mortuary in Colton.
