Robert Albright, 67, of Corvallis died Wednesday, May 8, 2013, in Corvallis.

Arrangements are pending at McHenry Funeral Home, Corvallis.

Robert (Bob) Verner Albright passed away May 8 at his home in Corvallis, after
an extended illness.

He was born March 20, 1946, in Bend to Robert and Maxine Lyons. In 1958, his
mother married Warren Albright, who legally adopted Bob and his two brothers,
Rusty and Pat. He attended elementary school in Bend and graduated from Madras
High School in 1964.

He graduated from Oregon State University in 1972 after a stint playing trumpet
in the U.S. Army band. He was a proud member of the OSU pep band while attending
college. Bob worked for U.S. Bank for more than 30 years at branches in Madras,
Lebanon, Amity, Salem, Corvallis and Albany. He later worked for other financial
institutions in Corvallis and Albany before retiring from OSU Federal Credit
Union in 2011.

Bob volunteered in the Lions Club and for United Way, and was a member of the
Corvallis Rotary Club and the Corvallis Elks Lodge for several years. He was a
longtime season-ticket holder and fan of the Oregon State football, basketball
and baseball teams. An avid golfer, he maintained a thorough collection of
souvenir balls from all of the courses he had played over the years.

He enjoyed vacations in Central Oregon and at Lake Tahoe, and was known to be a
competitive thumb-wrestler. Upon retirement, he preferred the nickname "Vern" as
a tribute to his maternal grandfather, but was known as "Banker Bob" to his
friends at Golf City.

Bob was married to Eunice Huckins in 1970 and had two sons. In 1983, he married
Diana Nuxoll Howard.

He is survived by his wife; sons Jeff (Tracey) of Tigard and Tim of Milwaukie;
daughters Dona Howard, Marci Howard (Greg Obrist) and Stephanie Howard (Kelly
O'Donnell), all of Corvallis; brothers Pat (Gin) of Eugene, Evan (Lori) of
Bourne, Mass., and Stuart (Margaret) of Portland; sister, Sarah of Portland; and
mother-in-law, Alice Nuxoll of Clarkston, Wash.

He also leaves four grandsons, Wyatt and Seth Lile of Corvallis, and Grant and
Malcolm Albright of Tigard. Two additional grandchildren are expected in
October.

He was preceded in death by his brother Rusty (2003); and his parents, Warren (2007) and Maxine (2010).
