"Miss Mamie E. Banes, 79, died Tuesday at a nursing home at 7001 Cleveland, where she had made her home. She was born in California, Mo., and had lived here most of her life. Miss Banes was a seamstress 50 years before she retired nine years ago. She was a Baptist. She leaves a nephew, Leroy Banes, of 3007 N.E. 56th Terrace.
