Mrs. G.W. Motes, Succumbs Monday; Rites Wednesday
Mrs. Loner Prince Motes, 61, died Monday afternoon at the 112 Austin Avenue home of her daughter, Mrs. Dan C. King.
Rites will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Austin Avenue Church of God, with the Revs. W.M. Horton and J.L. Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Kennesaw Cemetery, Dobbins Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Motes was born in Dawson County, but had resided in Cobb for the past 42 years. She married George W. Motes in 1910. The deceased had been an active member of the Church of God for the past 31 years.
Survivors include her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Clarence Mooney, Kennesaw; and Mrs. King and Mrs. Kenneth E. Hall, Marietta; step-mother, Mrs. G.W. Prince, Kennesaw; three brothers, Arthur, Warner Robins; Emmett, Kennesaw, and Eugene Prince, Murfreesboro, Tenn; three sisters, Mrs. S.D. Boyd, Kennesaw; Mrs. Wiley Thomas, Gastonia, N.C. and Mrs. S.M. Edwards, Marietta, 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
