Jessie O. Ingley Jessie O. Ingley passed from this life on May 13, 2013, at the age of 95. Jessie was born in Cookeville, Tenn., on July 25, 1917. Jessie later moved to Monroe, Texas, now known as New Deal, where she played basketball and excelled in school. Jessie married Louis Owen Ingley on June 17, 1937; he preceded her in death in 1969. Jessie worked as a manager at Gold Bond Stamps store, and then later went to work for Dillard's when they first opened in Lubbock and was promoted to a department manager, until she retired at the age of 75. Jessie was preceded in death by three sisters: Arrenia Pettit, Mary Conner, & Rosie Yockey; two brothers: Finis Phillips & Mitchell Phillips; as well as her son, Milton Ingley. Jessie is survived by two sons, Allen Ingley and Jerry Ingley, both of the home, along with Jerry's girlfriend, Sharon Salazar; three grandchildren, Helen White of Phoenix, Ariz., Brendan Ingley and wife Ashley of Hobbs, N.M., Kerry Schneider and husband Mike of Lubbock; nine great-grandchildren, Sydney, Taylor, Alyssa, Tanner, Mikaela, Ryan, Nathan, Manuel, and Braxton. Jessie was a lifelong member and elder of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Family will receive visitors at Resthaven Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. May 16, 2013. Services will be Friday, May 17, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Lubbock, with burial to follow at Resthaven.
