Karen Faye Eichmeier age 51 of Hilbert, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on June 25th at St. Elizabeth Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Karen was born on April 20, 1955 to Elmer & Cecilia Jensen. She graduated from Hilbert High School in 1973. She went on to marry her high school sweetheart Robert Eichmeier of Hilbert whom she shared 33 loving years, 5 children, 3 grandchildren, and 2 step grandchildren. Karen worked at Hernke Cheese which later became Sargento Foods for 25 years. She enjoyed walks at High Cliff with her husband, camping trips, and spending time with her family and friends.
She will always be remembered for her quick wit and practical jokes. Karen was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Cecilia.
She is survived by her wonderful husband Robert; 4 sons, Christopher (Sandra), Adam (Shelly), Chad (Jennifer), and Michael, all of Hilbert; her only daughter Angela (Freddy) Weidner, Appleton; her grandchildren: Aaron, Ashley, Mercedes; and step-grandchildren Brittany and Brianna Kain. She is further survived by her 3 brothers and 4 sisters, Charles (Ruth) Jensen, AZ; Gene (Stella) Jensen, AZ; Betty (Ken) Grenzer, Hilbert; Pete Jensen, Hilbert; Barb (Gary) Nennig, Stockbridge; Jane (Paul) Thiel, Appleton, Alice (Levant) Purdy, CA; many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday June 29, 2006 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hilbert. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 4-8:00 PM on Wednesday June 28, 2006 and on Thursday at the funeral home from 9:30-10:30 AM when family prayers will be held. A parish vigil service will be held Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
