"Mr. Abbot was born Aug. 22, 1873, in Sierra County. He came to Oroville 40 years ago from Rackerby and was living at 1301 Robinson Street. Before his retirement 20 years ago, Mr. Abbot was employed by the county.
"He is survived by his wife, Mary of Oroville; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Mildred Downer of Oroville and Mrs. Lucille Wisler of San Jose; three stepsons, Alfred, Harry and Charles Pyke, all of Oroville; three brothers, Elmer of Santa Cruz, George of Sacramento, and Bert of Comanche; three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Bishop of Paradise, Mrs. Ida Blackman of Oroville, and Mrs. Otto Hunter of Oakland; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren."
