Marcella was born in Kingston, Jamaica to Benjamin and Rose Reid. She emigrated to the United States in 1951 and made her home on California Street NW in Washington, DC. "Marcy", as she was known by her close friends, worked for various embassies in the Washington area. After her long illness, she was called home to receive her rewards by Our Lord and Savior on February 5, 1997. She leaves to mourn her sisters, Elsie Reid and Icilda Mckie, brother Kenneth, neices Grace Hall, and other neices and nephews and a host of friends.
