Mary Ernestine Kisner Simon, age 93, died February 3, 2013 at her home in Chicago, Illinois. She was born October 24, 1919 in Paris, Miss., Lafayette County to the late Ernest David Kisner and Mary Catherine Babb Kisner. Earnestine was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Greenwood Lutheran Church in Chicago, Illinois. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting and spending time with family and friends.

A graveside memorial service is planned for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013 in the Paris Memorial Cemetery in Paris, Miss. with Rev. Fred Eakes officiating.

Earnestine is survived by her three sons, John I Simon 111 (June) of Tinley Park, Illinois; Thomas J. Simon of Braceville, Illinois and Peter A. Simon of Chicago, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Karen, Carolyn, Cathryn, Rebbecca, Melissa, Melanie, Emily and Mary Elizabeth; and six great-grandchildren, Kane, Jeremy, Courtney, Debra, Joshua and Wolfgand.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John I. Simon, Jr.; one sister, Christine Marie Maynor; three brothers, James Russell Kisner, John Clifton Kisner, and Ernest David Kisner, Jr.; her grandparents, Nannie Vinson Dixon and Walter Henry Babb.
