George Clay "Yankee" Campbell, 92, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2013, in Ennis, Texas. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis. Service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Chapel in Ennis, with Rev. Dick Moody officiating. Interment will follow in Telico Cemetery.

George was born in Luray, Virginia, to the late David Franklin and Eva Mae (Hughes) Campbell. He married Rose Marie (Moore) Dodson, and was a truck driver for more than 50 years, retiring from Ennis Transportation Trucking.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Marie; sons, Clay Campbell and wife, Ferne, Dave Campbell, and Bob Campbell; daughters, Becky Fox and husband, Bruce and Dolly McMahon and husband, Malachy; step-children, Raymond Dodson and wife, Judy, Harold Dodson, Gerald Dodson and wife, Tammy, Robert Dodson and wife, Dolly, Willie Dodson and wife, Emily, Sharon Sutton and husband, Don; grandchildren, Rod, Steve, Jenny, B.J., Denise, Logan, Serena, and Ashley; step-grandchildren, Jeff, April, Robert, Ann, Treasa, Caleb, Nate, Chris, Corey, Jenelle, Robert, Tori, Steven, Hayley, Emily, Hayden, Dana, Danica, Lexi, Kody and Kylynn; other relatives and many friends.
