HUBBARD - Lorene M. Hastie, 85, of Hubbard died Aug. 12 at a care center in Woodburn.
She was born Jan. 25, 1911, Aurora, and graduated from Woodburn High School in 1928. She married William B. Hastie on Oct, 26, 1931, at Vancouver, Wash. She lived in Monitor before moving to Hubbard in 1940.
Her husband died in 1966.
She was a founding member of the Full Gospel Church at Hubbard. She owned an antique store in Hubbard. She was also a pianist, having taught piano lessons and playing at the church for 40 years.
She was a doll maker and enjoyed gardening. She was a member of the Hubbard TOPS club.
She is survived by her sons Gene Hastie of Hubbard, and Phillip Hastie of Molalla; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Aug. 16 at Cornwell Colonial Chapel in Woodburn. Interment was at Belle Passi Cemetery in Woodburn.
