Eusebio "Eddie" Montaño Jr., age 89, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on May 16, 2013.
Eusebio is survived by his companion, Ruth Hamill, daughter, Sandra Montaño and her companion, Margaret Morris, son, Michael "Mike" Montaño, granddaughters, Amanda Montaño and Lauren Mills, sisters, Allegra Blea and Flora Baca and her husband, Eloy, brother, Fermin Montaño and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Eusebio was preceded in death by his wife, Antonia "Toni" Montaño.
Eusebio was a member of the Catholic Church, a Veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II, member of the V.F.W., member of Wolfpack and President of the North Valley Senior Citizens.
Visitation will be on Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldón Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Deacon Joe Lucero. Final visitation will be on Monday, May 20, 2013 at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, 2005 Plaza NW, from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dave Montaño, Michael Sánchez, Brandon Sandoval, Desi Gonzáles, RJ McBee and Donavan McBee.
