Clyde L. Arwood - age 87 of Lenoir City passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in W. W. II and Past Commander of American Legion Post #70. Clyde was a Deacon of Paw Paw Plains Baptist Church. He was retired from T. V. A. at Watts Bar and a member of Carpenter's Union Local #50. Preceded in death by his wives, Beulah Fair Arwood and Elizabeth Lewallen Arwood; parents, Lloyd Arwood, Sr. and Effie Eblen Arwood, and brother, Joe E. Arwood. He is survived by his children, Sherra Arwood of Chattanooga, Bob Arwood and wife, Susan, Craig Arwood, Kim Wiseman all of Lenoir City, and Charlotte Abbott and husband, Bob of Jonesborough; grandchildren, Gina Arwood, Leanne Arwood, Debbie Fritts, Christopher Arwood, Kevin Arwood, Dalton Arwood, Kayla Shirey, Kristin Stetz and Robbie Abbott; 8 great grandchildren, brothers, Troy Arwood and wife, Judy of Kingston, Lloyd (Buster) Arwood and wife, JoAnn of Lenoir City; sisters, Bernice Speers and Jane Matlock both of Lenoir City; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to Viola Jones and the neighbors of Paw Paw Plains for their many acts of kindness during Dad's illness. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. They will also receive friends on Monday from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Paw Paw Plains Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 12 noon with Rev. Tony Bandy and Rev. B. B. Ratledge officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Military honors will be conferred by the Loudon Co. Veterans Honor Guard. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements. w
