Herman Spray, age 76, of Chapel Hill, died Monday morning, April 9, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Spray was a native of Nashville and a son of the late Ernest and Essie Harrison Spray. He was a retired lab technician for Marquette Cement Company. Mr. Spray was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served during World War II. He attended the Church of Christ
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carrie Binkley Spray of Chapel Hill and one daughter, Mrs. Maxine Mitchell of Chapel Hill.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10 at the Lawrence Funeral Home in Chapel Hill. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, at Swanson Cemetery with Stan Butt officiating.
