Funeral Services Held Tuesday For Noel H Maude

Funeral services for Noel H. Maude, 81, of Lawton, were held Tuesday October 10, 1989 at 10:30 in the Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton. Dr. Robert E Peters officiated along with the Rev. Mark Phillips of Aberdeen United Methodist Church, Aberdeen, South Dakota. Interment was in Banner Township Cemetery, Lawton, under the direction of the Christy Morningside Funeral Home in Sioux City. Graveside Masonic services were conducted by Trail Lodge 532, A.F. & A.M. of Moville.

Ruth Foster was organist, Annette Eberly, vocalist, sang "The Lord's Prayer." Lorna Peters, vocalist, sang "How Great Thou Art."

Casket bearers were Messrs. Dr Scott Crampton, Kevin Crampton, Dennis Morrice, Todd Shawn and Shannon Puttmann.

Mr. Maude was born December 16, 1907 in Burbank, South Dakota. He graduated from Vermillion High School and attended the University of South Dakota. He married Margie P. McNaughton June 16, 1934 in Fairmount, Minnesota. He worked for 17 years for the American Serum Co., farmed for 11 years and was a carpenter for 34 years. He lived in Vermillion, Sioux City and Lawton. He was a member of the South Dakota National Guard from 1922-1934.

He was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church and had been the church janitor for nine years. He was a member of Trail Lodge 532, A.F. & A.M.

Mr. Maude died Friday October 6, 1989 in a Sergeant Bluff Nursing home after being ill several months due to a heart and lung illness.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret Ann and Herbert Crampton of Storm Lake, Shirley and Gordon Morrice of Battle Creek and Kay and Gary Puttmann of Sioux Center; a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Lyle Westlund of Seattle, Washington, six grandsons and one granddaughter.
