Gloria G. Abbott
---Gloria G. Abbott, 44, of 731 Allison Dr., died early Saturday morning at Leila Hospital after a three month illness.
---Mrs. Abbott was born on Sept. 8, 1943 in Paw Paw to Stanley and Eleanor (Cygan) Wurst. She had been a resident of Marshall since 1973, moving here from Charlotte. Prior to that she had lived in Bay City.
---She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Oaklawn Hospital Service League. She was active in the Marshall Historical Society Home Tours, acting as a hostess and and[sic] working at the Catholic church salad luncheons.
---Mrs. Abbott was also active in the Junior Miss Pagents[sic] as a chaperone for both the local and state competitions held in Marshall. She served as vice-president of the Marshall Music Boosters.
---Mrs. Abbott was an avid sports enthusiast and could be seen at all of her children's dance and sports activities.
---On Oct. 18, 1968, she married Bernard C. Abbott in Kalamazoo.
---She is survived by her husband, Bernard Abbott; a son, Mark Abbott; two daughters, Lori Abbott and Suzanne Abbott all living at home; her mother, Eleanor Allen of St. Petersburg, FL; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, James.
---Friends may call at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. James Barrett officiating. interment will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery. A Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Fiends who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
