OBITUARY

Postmaster's Mother Dies at Hummelstown

HUMMELSTOWN, March 3. - Mrs. Alfred Landis, 62 years old, mother of Ward P. Landis, Hummelstown postmaster, died last night at her home in Second street (sic). She is survived by her husband, Alfred Landis and three sons, Alfred Landis, Jr., William Landis and Ward P. Landis. Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Landis home. Burial will be in the Hummelstown Cemetery.

Mrs. Landis, who had been in ill health for about a year, was a member of the Daughters of Liberty, of this place.

FUNERAL FOR MRS. LANDIS

The funeral of Mrs. Ellen Landis will take place from her late home, East Second street (sic), on Saturday afternoon at 1.30 o'clock. Services will be held in the Reformed Church and will be conducted by the pastor, the Rev. John S. Heffner and the Rev. J. P. Dieffenderfer, of Memorial Church, Easton, a former pastor of the local church. Burial will be in the Hummelstown Cemetery.
