THE HUTCHINSON NEWS----November 14, 1937
Funeral services for A. R. Ogden who died Thursday will be held Monday morning at 11 o'clock from the Johnson and Son Funeral parlors. Interment will be in Eastside Cemetery.
He was born in Fayette County, Ohio in 1870 and came to Kansas 1879. He was married to Mary E. Smith in Washington County, Ark., Nov. 4, 1886. Two children were born to this union.
He is survived by five grandchildren: Mrs. W. N. Withrow, Hutchinson; Mrs. Charles Stansberry, McPherson; Mrs. Harvey Cline, Conway; Mrs. Irena Brewer, Stillwell, Okla.; and Mrs. Hattie Cochran, Marble City, Okla.; six brothers, Charles of Hutchinson; John of Joplin; Elmer of Carthage, Mo.; Howard of Wewoka, Okla.; Harold of Marble City, Okla., and Harry of Grigston, Kas.

I feel it was a typo that he was survived by five grandchildren, it should have read five sisters. Doreen
