Mrs. Emma Rath, widow of the late William Rath, passed away at her residence in town late Saturday night at the age of 85 years. Mrs. Rath had been a resident of the town and district for the past 40 years. Her husband predeceased her 14 years ago. She is survived by two sons, Edwin Leonard Rath of Turner Valley and Ernest William Rath of Conjuring Creek, and one daughter, Mrs. Lottie West of Sutton, Nebraska, who has resided here with her mother for the past six years. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from St. David's United church to Leduc cemetery for interment. The Rev. J. G. Goddard conducted the services and the pallbearers were: N.R. Wilkinson, Arndt, Parry, Brown, Kashure and Ronin.
