JACKSON, INEZ A. a grateful servant of the Lord was called home Sunday, May 19, 2013. She was born on July 19, 1921, the only daughter of George W. Acton and Mattie Jones Acton.

Her life of kindness and generosity was a simple reflection of the love that was given her by her Savior. He blessed her with a keen and attentive ear to his voice. She loved her family and friends. She stood strong for the Truth and walked courageously when times were difficult. She ran her race every step of the way with her eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of her faith. Inez and her only child, Joyce Ann Jackson, have been blessed beyond measure by the friendships of their many customers who have faithfully supported The Holiday Shop that Inez started 43 years ago.

She was preceded in death by her parents and loving step-mother Hester A. Acton, her two brothers Wayne H. Acton and G. Herbert Acton and her devoted husband of 61 years, Carlton K. Jackson.

Her visitation and funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Briarwood Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 beginning at 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m.

Burial will follow at Acton Memorial Cemetery.
