ARMSTRONG RITES HELD
Funeral services for Mrs. Jim Armstrong, 84, of the Coble community, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Coble Church of Christ.
Brown McClain officiated. Burial was in Chessor Cemetery.
Mrs. Armstrong, the former Mary Venyard [sic], died Sunday at her home, after a long illness.
She was a native of Hickman County. Her parents were Lye & Donie Coates Venyard [sic].
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Annie Bell King, of Coble; five sons, J.E. & Clarence Armstrong, Coble, Tom & Lonnie [sic - should be Lantie] Armstrong, Lobelville, and Josh Armstrong, Detroit; 36 grandchildren & 53 great-grandchildren.
