Evelyn E. Markley, 88, of Kewanna, IN, passed away at 6:52 AM Sunday, November 17, 2013 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN.
She was born February 17, 1925, in Winamac, IN, to Carl and Ethel Hartwick Hall. Evelyn married Harris John Markley in 1962. Harris died October 1, 1978.
She had worked at Switches at Leiter's Ford, IN and at Kewanna Metal Specialties in Kewanna, IN.
Evelyn was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1121 in Kewanna. She was a member of the FOE 2580 in Winamac, IN for over 30 years.
Evelyn enjoyed riding her three wheeled bicycle, making sock monkeys and collecting chicken memorabilia. She also enjoyed playing cards. She always had a family gathering on the third of July during the Kewanna fireworks that she called the "Happy Everything Party".

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM EST Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac, with Pastor Todd Wilson officiating.
Burial will take place in Winamac Cemetery, Winamac, IN.
