Mrs. Alma Mae Rowe, former resident of Winamac, died last Thursday night, March 25, at her home at Bass Lake, following a sudden heart attack. Sixty-two years old, she had not been ill previously.
Final rites were held Sunday afternoon at the Kennedy & Braman funeral home in Winamac, with the Rev. James Burroughs officiating. Burial was in the Winamac cemetery.
Mrs. Rowe was born Feb. 17, 1903, at Chile, IN. She spent most of her adult life in Chicago, coming to Winamac about ten years ago. She was manager of the East Shore Hotel at Bass Lake for the past few years.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Martha Shields of Winamac; brother, Dewey Poland of Peru; a sister who lives in Chicago.
