Clarence Jennings Stipp, 77, 627 South Market Street, Winamac, died at his residence Friday, July 4, at 8:45 a.m. He was born in Winamac Sept. 12, 1897 to George A. Stipp and Laura Zellers. He married Regina Kruger, November 1945 in Wheeling, Ill. She survives. He was a lifelong resident of Winamac and had worked for 20 years at the EMD General Motors plant at LaGrange, Ill before retirement. Mr. Stipp was a member of the Winamac Christian Church. He is survived by the wife, one son, Norman J. Stipp of Guilford, Conn., and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Decker, Winamac. Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Fry & Lange Mortuary, with the Rev. Harold Oechsle officiating. Burial was in the Winamac Cemetery.
