Pearl Irene Fetroe, 99, died September 24, 2011 at her daughter's home in Walla Walla.
Pearl was born November 8, 1911, in Tugaske Saskatchewan Canada to George and Mary Willerton Foulston. She attended schools in Tugaske. In August, 1945, she and Thane Fetroe married in Penticton, British Columbia where her parents lived at the time.
Pearl enjoyed her role as a homemaker as well as working for the Salvation Army and with unwed mothers and their babies in Vancouver, British Columbia. Drawn like a magnet to babies, she had a real love for them; she knew what a baby's cry meant and what they wanted. She was a good mother, always trying to help her children find their strengths. She enjoyed crochet and travel, taking a family trip around Canada and the United States as well as a family trip to Europe. They also took three trips to Singapore seeing other countries along the way including Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, and Taiwan. Being a very gracious hostess, Pearl and her husband had a very social lifestyle. She was a member of the Village Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Pearl is survived by her daughter of Walla Walla; her son of the Tri-Cities, Washington; one brother of Central Butte, Canada; five grandchildren; three great- grandchildren:. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and three brothers.
Inturment will be at a later date next to her husband in the Tugaske Cemetery, Saskatchewan, Canada.
