WYLIE -- Weldon Clyde Simmons, a resident of Wylie, died June 27, 1998, at his residence. He was 72.
Mr. Simmons was born Aug. 8, 1925, in Caddo, Okla., to Ira Lee and Bessie Hazel Robinson Simmons. He married Frances Oleta Burns May 3, 1984. He was a retired sales manager and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sisters, Edna Cearley of Hatfield, Ark., and Nadine Kennedy and Nellie Taylor, both of Lindsey, Okla. He was preceded in death by his son, Weldon Clyde Simmons Jr.
Services were Monday at Allen Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Billy Joe Harris officiated. Burial was in Kreymer Cemetery.
