FROM THE NEWARK NEWSPAPER DATED AUGUST 10, 1989:

Services for Walter A. Andrews, 82, of 82 S. 26th., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Criss Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.
Mr. Andrews died Wednesday evening at home. He was born July 28, 1907, in Sherwood, Ohio, to the late Joseph and Flora (Evans) Andrews.
He retired as a foreman from Rockwell International, was a Methodist, and served in the Army from 1924 to 1926. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1815 of Berea, Ohio, Crusader Masonic Lodge 720, Scottish Rite and Aladdin Temple.
Mr. Andrews also was a member of Licking County Scottish Rite Club, Licking County Shrine Club, United Ostomy Association 617, B.A.S.S. and the NRA. He was a driver for the Jimmy Lynch Daredevils.
His wife, Ethel (Peeper) Andrews, died Jan. 20, 1988. Surviving are: two sons, Jerry Andrews of Sacramento, Calif., and Terry Andrews of Fayetteville, N.C.; two daughters, Mrs. Edmond (Karren) Borders of Heath and Mrs. Ardella Focht of VanWert, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Two brothers and one daughter are deceased.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
