Mrs. Helen Murphy Dies At Her Home
---Mrs. Helen B. Murphy, 86, widow of Edward L. Murphy, 210 High Street, died at her home Sunday at 6:58 p. m., following a brief illness. She was born June 23, 1865 in Battle Creek at the Bailey family home, 24 College Street, the daughter of Michael and Catharine Bailey.
---A graduate of Battle Creek high school with the class of 1883, she taught at No. One school, Battle Creek, until her marriage to Edward L. Murphy of Marshall in Battle Creek, August 23, 1887.
---They made their home at the High Street address, where Mrs. Murphy had lived for 64 years. Mr. Murphy died July 10, 1901.
---She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
