Whilst working at a local Video Centre, I met Harry.
A wonderful human being, always smiling, looking around in the shop, choosing a film, either recent or an old talkie, then afterwards heading out to his favourite Mexican restaurant in the neighbourhood.
Sometimes, He would choose a Silent one, and tell me about the stars in it and how popular they were when he was growing up...knowing how much I loved Silent films.
He always asked me why I loved old films, and his face would light up at my responses, and show me a big smile.
I feel so fortunate to have been his friend...visits to his house, running errands together, watching films and drinking a beer and a Dr. Pepper soda pop, whilst enjoying his company.
