In March of 1843, the first Kentucky county court of the new county of LaRue, was held "at the Presbyterian meeting house" in Hodgenville, KY. This court was composed of the following Justices: Joseph Abell, Abraham Miller, Thomas Brown, LEWIS READ, Squre LaRue, John McDougal, Marshall Scott, and Jesse H. Rodman.

Gravesite Details

All the Read family is listed on a four sided stone. There is a large newer stone that is face down and unable to be moved, believed to be for the Smith's. (Not on maps)
