Husband of Rosalia Maria "Rosalie" Centanni.

Father of Laura Alello St. Angelo, Josephine Alello Messina, Angelina Alello Manisco, Lucy Alello, Mary Alello Micheli, Rosario Alello, Sam Alello, Anthony "Tony" Alello, Vincent Alello, and Frank Alello.

He was born in Italy and arrived in New Orleans on 24 October 1894 with his wife and their six oldest children who were also born in Sicily, Italy. After a short time in St. James Parish, he and his family moved to Baton Rouge where he resided for several decades.

He was survived by his wife Rosalie Centanni, four daughters: Laura, Josephine, Angelina, and Lucy; and four sons: Rosario, Sam, Anthony, and Frank; 43 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.

He died at his Government Street residence.

He was a farmer.


His funeral was held in Sacred Heart Church, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Saturday, 20 May 1944. Interment followed in Roselawn Memorial Park, Baton Rouge.
