Merv was born the second of six children- 4 sons, 2 daughters)born to William and Florence (Webb) Milham.
He served as a Private in New Guinea during World War II, and married Eunice Wilkins on 31 October 1947 at Wynnum. a suburb of Brisbane, Queensland Australia.
Merv worked at various jobs during his working life, and settled into an easy relaxed retirement.
He and Eunice Had three children (all boys), 2 of whom still share the home with Merv and Eunice

During the years he experienced the usual complaints that come with age, until about 12 months ago when he started having trouble with his kidneys.
A stay in hospital approx 5 months ago, did little to releive this condition, which gradually worsened over the weeks.
Approximately 4 weeks ago, he was having trouble breathing and the specialists ordered another hospital stay. His condition worsened until he slipped into a come about 4 days prior to his death.
He passed away peacefully at 10.30pm on the 19th May at Greenslopes Private Repatriation Hospital in Brisbane.
He had a private funeral and his ashes were later interred.
Merv will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
