CARTHAGE, Mo. — Henry Franklin Wisehart, 93, Carthage, Mo., passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at St. Lukes Nursing Center, Carthage, after an extended illness.
Frank was born May 26, 1919, in Miller, Mo., to the late Franklin Wisehart and Bessie Hood Wisehart. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corp from 1943 1946.
He married Lanett Schnake on June 15, 1941, at LaRussell, Mo. Two daughters were born to this union.
Frank worked most of his life as a truck driver, and retired from Brae Trucking.
He was baptized at a young age, and was a long time member of First Christian Church of Carthage. He enjoyed traveling and collecting souvenirs from his many trips.
Besides his parents; he was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Turner, and Marjorie Glass; and by two brothers, Herbert Wisehart, and Oris Wisehart.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Lanett, of Carthage; his daughters, Kay Vandever and her husband, Gene, of Bella Vista, Ark., and Jeannie Adams and her husband, Kenny, of Carthage; a sister, Lois Hunter, of Miller, Mo.; one brother, Lavon Wisehart, of Clever, Mo.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be graveside, 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Park Cemetery, Carthage, Mo., under direction of Knell Mortuary, Carthage.
