Former Mayor John C. Barry died at his home in Cortland, N. Y., Saturday. He was 76 years old. Mr. Barry organized and was first president of the State Lodge of Elks. He was Mayor in 1909 and 1910.

A son, Earl J. Barry of Monaca, Pa., and two daughters, Mrs. Florence B. Hart of Rye and Mrs. Maud E. Cummings of Cortland, survive.

Mayor Barry was well known to many Peekskill Elks. He attended and took active part in the New York State Elks' Convention held In Peekskill in the summer of 1916 when
Peekskill was celebrating its Centennial year.
