CANTRELL, Melanie Jeanne WertAge 54 of Brentwood. Died October 22, 2011 at home. Preceded in death by husband, Jim Cantrell and mother, Marilyn Self Wert. Survived by stepdaughter, Rachel Berry and her husband Josh, Atlanta; two step-grandchildren, Anne and Julia Berry; extended family and friends. Melanie grew up in Donelson, attended Donelson and McGavock High School, was a member of Andrew Price United Methodist Church, B.S. from Tennessee Wesleyan College, taught 3 yrs. in Ohio, B.S. from Ohio University, employed at NFIB as software developer. Member of Belmont United Methodist Church, where she loved being part of its music ministry, singing & playing bells. Memorial service 2 p.m. Sunday, October 30th at Belmont United Methodist Church, 2007 Acklen Ave. Visitation will be from 1 - 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the music ministry at Belmont UMC.

She was the only child of Robert Youngblood Wert, Jr. and Marilyn Gertrude Self.
