Obituary—Ross

Charles Ross passed away May 2, 1944, at Christ's Hospital, Topeka, Kansas, after an illness of about three weeks. He was born on a farm near Dover, October 25, 1885, and lived his entire life on this farm.

He was married May 25, 1911, to Bertha Allison of near Topeka. Of their four children, the eldest, Geo. Ross died in infancy. Charles Ross is survived by his wife Bertha Ross, two daughters, Mrs. D.F. Metzger and Miss Lois Ross, both of Chicago, Illinois, and Charles Ross, Jr. of the home. Also by two brothers, Claude Ross of Dover, Floyd Ross of Topeka, and a sister, Mrs. A.K. Barnes of Harveyville, six nieces and two nephews.

Charles Ross was an industrious, likable gentleman who will be missed by his wife and children and a large circle of neighbors and friends. He was a Christian gentleman, loved by his wife and children.

Services were conducted at the Dover Federated Church, May 5, at 3 P.M. by Reverend Gonzales of Topeka. Burial was in the Dover Cemetery.
