Funeral services were held at the St. James Catholic Church today, Monday, March 5 at 11 a.m. for Mrs. Agnes Lehnert of 819 Wells Street. Mrs. Lehnert died in Memorial Hospital Friday at 12:47 p.m.
A rosary services was recited at Seydler-Hill Chapel Sunday at 6:30 p.m. with the Rev. James Kotara, pastor of St. James officiated. The Rev. Kotara officiated at the funeral rites with burial taking place in the St. James Catholic Cemetery. Instead of remembrances, memorial mayb made to the American Cancer Society or the Catholic Daughters.
Mrs. Lehnert was born in Lavaca county on February 14, 1907, the daughter of Frank and Annie Berger Ehler, natives of Germany.
She was married to Fred Joe Lehnert on May 19, 1925 in Lavaca county. He preceded her in death on June 11, 1978.
Mrs. Lehnert family was one of the first to deliver the Inquirer by automobile when th paper went to auto delivery instead of using young boy carriers.
