HALLIE TINGLEY BOULDER RESIDENT SINCE 1921 - DIES

Hallie Tingley, 1513 20th, died at the Community Hospital at 9:05 last evening. He had entered the hospital on June 6th. Mr. Tingley had suffered a stroke in March, 1956 and had never recovered.

He was born at Craig, Missouri on August 10, 1876 to Sidney and Elva Tingley. When he was a small child his parents moved to McDonald, Kansas area. They were farmers there. Mr. Tingley was educated in the schools of that community. As a young man he continued his farm activity in the McDonald area until 1920 when he retired. In June 1921 he moved to Boulder.

While living in Boulder he would occasionally assist friends in their business.

He married to Minnie Lutz at McDonald, Kan. on Aug 15, 1897. She died in Boulder April 14, 1922.

He was married to Mae P. Gordon at Raton, NM on March 20, 1937. Surviving are his wife, Mae P. Tingley, three daughters, Mrs. Ivan (Marie) Plumb, Newberg, Oregon; Mrs. Joe (Velma) Shepard and Mrs. Carl (Lelah) Stephens, both of Boulder; two sons, I. L. Tingley, Albuquerque, NM and C. E. Tingley, Ogallala, Neb; a step-daughter, Mrs. H. J. Williams, Marion, South Carolina and two step-sons, Clarence Gordon and Arvel Gordon of Elgin, Illinois, one brother, Lester Tingley, Beloit, Wis., and two sisters, Mrs. May Young, Bennett, Colo., and Mrs. Nettie Kneebone, Los Angeles, Calif. Also eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Ged-Hibbard Mortuary, Rev. Harold W. Carlson, pastor of the Calvary Bible Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Green Mountain Cemetery.
