Eileen Louise Barringer, age 78, a lifelong resident of Bloomdale, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday (September 2, 2010) at Briar Hill Health Campus in North Baltimore, Ohio. She was born on November 8, 1931 in Bloomdale to Kenneth & Jettie (Whipple) Purkey (Both Deceased). She married Ray Barringer on July 9, 1949 in Covington, KY and he passed away on March 18, 1989 She is survived by her sons; Michael (Linda) Barringer of Findlay, Thomas Barringer of Bloomdale, daughter; Diane Summers of Findlay, brothers; Robert (Barbara) Purkey of Cleveland, Tennessee, Douglas (Linda) Purkey of Fostoria, 8 grandchildren; Jason, Andrew, Stephanie, Scott, Matthew, Sara, Tara, Kara and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her beloved sister Carole Stevens. Eileen had worked for the A& P Tomato Factory and Trier-Pelton Popcorn Farm both of Bloomdale and the Budd Company of North Baltimore. She was a life member of The Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomdale and the Rebeccah Lodge. Friends will be received from 6-8 PM Monday (September 6, 2010) at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio. Celebration of Life Services will follow an additional hour of visitation at Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomdale on Tuesday (September 7, 2010) at 11 AM with Reverend Jeff Ridenour and Chaplain Meg Knape officiating. Burial will be in Weaver Cemetery in Bloom Township with a bereavement luncheon to follow at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to Bridge Home Health & Hospice, Trinity United Methodist Church, Bloomdale Fire Department or American Red Cross.
