Pearlie Marie Prater of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 4:45 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2013 at Miller's Merry Manor of Warsaw at the age of 90.
She was a resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana for the past 53 years where she was a homemaker, and member of God's Highway to Heaven Church in Warsaw.
She was born in Floyd County, Kentucky on August 26, 1922 to Malcolm Adams and Lula (Sparks) Adams. On April 15, 1939 she was married to Virgil Preston Prater, who preceded her in death on February 5, 2001.
Pearlie will be lovingly remembered by her five sons: Wilford (wife Vickie) Prater (Warsaw, Indiana); Cliff Prater (Warsaw, Indiana); Don (wife Judy) Prater (Claypool, Indiana); Ron (wife Carla) Prater (Warsaw, Indiana); Arnold (wife Amy) Prater (Silver Lake, Indiana); and five daughters: Juanita (husband Nathan) Shepherd (Warsaw, Indiana); Geneva (husband Rick) Bayne (Warsaw, Indiana); Phyllis (husband Greg) Varney (Warsaw, Indiana); Mary Prater (Warsaw, Indiana); Barb (husband Darrell) Prater (Warsaw, Indiana).
Also surviving are thirty grandchildren; well over 100 great-grandchildren; and many great great-grandchildren; and one Sister-In-Law: Nancy Adams Manuel (Prestonsburg, Kentucky). She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Virgil Preston Prater in 2001, two grandsons, one grand-daughter, three brothers, two sisters, and a daughter-in-law.
Her visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
Her funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at God's Highway to Heaven Church, 555 W. Weber Street, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by Pastor Bob Brown. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw, Indiana.
