David D. Lynn of Arcola Dies
ARCOLA, Ill. — David D. Lynn, father of five Mattoon residents, died at 3:30 a.m. today in his home here following an illness of several months. He was 79.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Shrader funeral home here. Rev. J. C. Gearhart will officiate. Burial will be in Arcola cemetery.
Mr. Lynn was born Aug. 11, 1872, at Watson, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jordan Lynn. He had lived in Arcola since childhood.
He married Miss Nora Alice Brannen July 17, 1901. She died Dec. 7, 1951.
He is survived by six children, Ollie of Arcola; Mrs. Nellie Hardin, Mrs. Nettie Curl, Albert, Charles William, and Orville Lynn, all of Mattoon. He also leaves 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
