Minnie Lavina SIZEMORE was the first child of nine of parents, Willam Richard and Mary (JOHNSON) SIZEMORE, born in Georgia prior to the family move to San Augustine County, Texas, in 1888. She was six years old on this six month trip by ox wagon and had to be quite an experience for her. Minnie is the oldest sister of my (J. Pat SMITH's) paternal grandmother, Mary Elizabeth SIZEMORE.

Minnie's first marriage was to Curtis Jackson "Jack" JESSUP(S), 30 APR 1902 in San Augustine County, Texas, with one child, Mary JESSUPS of this marriage; Mary married 20 DEC 1924 in Nacogdoches County, Texas, to Clifford C. BURNS. Jack had previously been married, to Jennie T. SHARP (1863-1898).

Minnie's second marriage, following the death of Jack, was to Thomas Brooks FOUNTAIN, in 1922 in Chireno, Nacogdoches County, Texas. There do not appear to have been any children born to this union. Tom had previously been married, to Ida M. BRIMER (1876-1921).

Children of Tom FOUNTAIN by his first wife Ida evidently include: Nola Bernice "Bernie" FOUNTAIN (b. ca. 1900, m. Paul Clifford CARROLL, Sr.); Erma FOUNTAIN (m. 05 NOV 1913 in Freestone County, Texas, to S. P. OVERALL); Ona FOUNTAIN (b. ca. 1902, m. ?); Arleigh Altus FOUNTAIN (11 NOV 1907-01 JUL 1996 Smith County, Texas); Curtis FOUNTAIN (probably 19 NOV 1909-09 MAY 1990 Limestone County, Texas); Wilma FOUNTAIN (1912-1963, m. 25 JAN 1930 in Nacogdoches County, Texas, to Arvin M. McKNIGHT); and Wanda FOUNTAIN (m. Lawrence Franklin BIRDWELL).

Minnie passed away 10 NOV 1957 in Nacogdoches, Texas, and was buried at Liberty Hill Cemetery in San Augustine where her parents and other siblings are also buried.
