Death of D. G. Harrington

Harrington- In San Diego, September 6th, 1914., David Getty Harrington, father of Lloyd and Ruben Harrington, and Mrs. G Maltby of San Diego, and Seward, Charles and Stephen Harrington of Minnesota, and Herbert Harrington of Central, Wash., and a brother of James Harrington of Highgate Center, Vt., William Harrington of Farmington, Minn., and Lloyd Harrington of Steward Minn., a native of Vermont, age 80 years, 9 months, 24 days.

D. G. Harrington formerly a resident of Oceanside, died in San Diego at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Guy Maltby on Sunday evening at 10 o'clock. Mr. Harrington was born in Vermont on November 11th, 1833 and was in his 81 year. In 1859 he married Mary Ann Seward whom he took to Superior Wis., which for a few years he made his home. In 1862 he moved to Rich Valley, where he resided until coming to Oceanside in 1898. Here he remained until his death of his wife since then he has lived with his daughter Mrs. Guy Maltby in San Diego. He was the father of seven children, six sons and one daughter.

He was a member of the Hecehel-man post of the G. A. R. The funeral will be held on the arrival of his sons from the East.
