LOUISIANA, Mo. -- Mrs. Lottie Loree Akers, 88, of Eolia, died at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 10, 1985) in Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana.
Mrs. Akers was born March 12, 1897, in Lincoln County, a daughter of Charles Cox and Minnie Walton Reynolds Dameron. She married Thomas "Dick" Akers in February 1927 in Eolia. He died in 1962. Mrs. Akers was a lifelong resident of the Eolia area.
Surviving are four sons, William Guy Akers and James E. Akers, both of Eolia, Roland T. Akers of Whiteside and John Akers of Troy; a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Altizer of Bowling Green; a sister, Mrs. Mollie Gibbs of St. Charles; 11 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana by the Rev. Lonnie Elliott. Burial will be in Eolia Cemetery.
